London’s Top Student Clubs and Bars

Student life is all about the partying, and there’s no better place to do it than London. A night out in the UK capital doesn’t always come cheap, but there are plenty of places to party without blowing the budget. There are plenty of places offering special drinks promotions, free entry and great music so you don’t need to max out the overdraft to enjoy a great night out in London. Just don’t forget your student ID!

Club de Fromage

As the name suggests, Club de Fromage is THE place to head to for the very best cheesy tunes. Taing place every Saturday at the O2 Academy Islington, fancy dress is always encouraged and each club night has a theme such as superheroes, 80s or boy bands. Entry is £6 all night with an NUS Card, and you can jump the queue if you’re in fancy dress.

The Roxy

Wednesday is the dedicated student night at The Roxy, but NUS Card holders can get discounted entry on every other night of the week too. Aimed at the city’s student population, this friendly club plays a mixture of indie tunes and cheesy hits.

Los Locos

Based at Covent Garden in the centre of the city, Los Locos is London’s longest-running student night, hosted by the Sway Bar and Club. The place to go for dance floor hits and chart music, you’ll find cheap entry and great drinks deals available until the party stops at 3am.

Drinks offers are available all night at this former theatre and cinema, and the entertainment starts with live music from some of the best up-and-coming bands. After that, the club transforms into one of the city’s best indie nights where DJs will be dropping the best new indie hits and classics until 4am. It’s one of the city’s most popular student nights!

The Social

If you fancy a more relaxed night out, The Social tucked just behind Oxford Street offers a great mix of live music and a laid-back atmosphere. Best of all, drinks are reasonably priced and entry is free!

Tiger Tiger Haymarket

You’ll probably have to queue to get in to this poplar chain venue in central London, but it’ll be worth it once you’re inside. After you’ve parted with the £5 entry fee, you’ll be greeted with three bar areas playing everything from the pop classics to R&B smashes and current chart toppers.

Zoo Bar

Leicester Square might not be renowned for being home to the cheapest venues, but with student nights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays every week at Zoo Bar, you’ll be able to make that student budget go a little bit further. There’s a fantastic atmosphere, happy hours and plenty of drinks offers.

Mother Bar

Party with the hipsters and head to the heart of fashionable Shoreditch to enjoy a great night out for less at Mother Bar. Perfect for students who fancy something different from a night out, the club hosts an eclectic line-up of DJs each night. Best of all, it’s free to get in and the party continues well into the early hours.
